Turns out trains aren’t as dynamic in photos as they appear in real life, but I still found something to shoot at the Tappen Valley Viaduct.
This particular section of the line tunnels under the road then loops back to a viaduct to cross over the same road it just went under. Again, golden hour improves photos. Also, the noise and rumble of the trains in real life doesn’t translate in photographs. It’s a real rush when the train shakes the ground as it goes overhead on the viaduct.
